Making good ideas usable

Jun 26, 2025 | 3 min read

Some ideas are too important to be ignored.
The LADNAAN method is one of them.

Built on years of research, the LADNAAN method was developed to support newly arrived families navigating parenting in a new cultural context. It was designed for professionals working in integration and social care, people doing vital work, often with limited tools.

The method was sound. The need was real. But the team behind LADNAAN faced a problem that many innovators, researchers and public sector organisations recognise all too well.

The idea existed, but no one knew how to use it.

When good research risks being forgotten

When LADNAAN reached us, it was still in a form that felt distant. Academic in tone. Complex in presentation. Lacking structure around the core content. The risk was clear. Like many good ideas, it could end up buried in a report or passed around as a PDF that nobody reads. That’s not a failure of the idea itself. It’s a failure of communication.

So instead of starting with design details, we started with a shared goal: Let’s make this easy to understand, easy to use, and easy to trust.

Design that gets out of the way

We began by developing a visual identity that reflected what LADNAAN stands for: calm, respectful and confident. The colours, typography and tone were chosen to support, not distract. We wanted professionals to feel that this was something they could immediately use with families in real situations.

Then came the printed workbooks. These weren’t just nicely designed PDFs. They were physical tools for real group settings, guiding leaders and participants through structured sessions. When we tested the early versions, it became clear that good design isn’t about standing out. It’s about making things easier for the people in the room.

Creating access, not just attention

Looking back, what made this project work was not one bold idea. It was a series of small, clear decisions that made the method more human.

We didn’t reinvent the content. We made it easier to find.
We didn’t oversell the brand. We made it easier to trust.
We didn’t complicate the message. We made it easier to share.

That’s where design stops being just aesthetics and starts becoming true utility.

LADNAAN didn’t need a campaign. It needed a complete system that made sense to the people it was built for. One acting as a tool that helped professionals feel supported, instead of feeling overwhelmed.

Today, the method is out in the world

LADNAAN is now used across Sweden by professionals who have a clearer, more practical way to work with families. The method feels more approachable. More credible. And most importantly, more usable.

What this means for your project

The LADNAAN story is not just about one method. It’s about what happens when a good idea is given the structure it needs to succeed.

If you’re developing something important, a method, a platform, a service, the question is not only what it does, but how someone will actually use it.

We help with that. Not just by making things look good, but by making them make sense. We don’t just build brands. We create luminous ones.

If that sounds like something you need – let’s talk.

Let’s create something

amazing together.
